SERP Location Changer (“the extension”) is a browser extension that lets you simulate a different search location, GPS position, and timezone for testing and local SEO purposes.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server we operate. The extension has no backend and no analytics.
The only data that ever leaves your browser:
Your chosen location, saved favorites, and settings (e.g. which spoofing features are enabled) are stored using Chrome/Firefox’s built-in storage API, inside your own browser profile. If you have browser sync enabled, this data syncs the same way your bookmarks or other extension settings do — through your browser vendor’s sync service, not through us. We have no access to it.
When you enable it, the extension:
x-geo and accept-language request headers on requests to www.google.com, so Google Search shows results for your chosen location.navigator.geolocation API and, optionally, the reported timezone, on pages you visit — but only while you have this feature turned on.None of this involves reading, collecting, or transmitting your real location, browsing history, or page content.
